Well winter is finally over, and it wasn't as horid as i expected. The only issue we had was Elizabeth came down with a fever, but she managed to get through it and is now back to normal, playing marbles with the other children. Father has found a new job, he now has joined some french settlers in fur trapping. This new career has brought us a more stable income, if our crops are destroyed again we will have no trouble buying new ones. Our town has also started a millitia to protect us against to natives, so there aren't anymore causalities, like Micheal.  Marsh Town as a whole has done quite well, unlike other towns we haven't had any deaths due to starvation.  This adventure may not have started off well, and it's still challenging, I think my family, my town will make it through. Our town will  succeed.
My family and I have finally gotten a lucky break. Our string managed to get a decent price, and father was able to bargin for some crops. I have grown accostom to this new land and am starting to appreciate  my town and my neighboors. Elizabeth is learning to read the bible, so she can have an active role in worship on sundays. The only bad news i have is the supply ship from England is a little behide schedule, but luckly no one is suffering from this set back. As a town we are becoming less dependent on England.
Sadly yet another one of my brothers has passed. Tim died last night due to his dreadful fever. We've created a cemetery on the edge of our property, I'm hoping that Tim will be the last one of my brothers I'll have to bury. Father has had no luck with finding me a suitor, but my twin brother John has found work in the Lumber yard building ships. I'm honestly quite relieved that the marriage deal didn't go through, I feel like seven-teen is a little young to be wed. In other good news my mother procured a few sheep, and my mother, sister, and I have been able to make string to sell at the market place. There my father and brothers can bargin for crops, since ours were destroyed. Even though we started out kind of rockey I think we will be able to get through it and all will be well with the world.

Well it has been rather horrible as of late. The natives raided our town and destroyed our crops, and it's too late to plant new ones. when the raid occurred my eldest brother, Micheal, was murdered by savages while he was attempting to protect our home. Then shortly after the raid my littlest brother Tim came down with a dreadful fever that he can't seem to shake. While I take care of Tim my father has gone to speak with other families about arranging a marriage for me, because of the hardships our family has faced it will be easier with one less mouth to feed. I'm starting to miss England, i felt much safer there.
I'm pleased to say that my family and i have finally settled in to Marsh Town. The house is finished, our fishing boat is complete, our little farm has all of the crops planted, and my six brothers started school. Now that everything's finished life has been less heck-tick and i actually had time to make my one and only little sister, Elizabeth a corn husk doll. I think I'm really going to enjoy being a citizen in Marsh Town.
